Our Little Sweetie

After lunch yesterday, I surprised Owen with a sucker. He doesn't get a lot of sweet treats yet, so this was a pretty big deal. He thought it was okay, but was much more interested in the stick.

The Hamburglar Did it!

On Thursday, Ronda gave the boys cheeseburgers for lunch. She cut them up into bite sized pieces and everyone was eating happily. One of the boys needed something, so she set her burger down, got up from the table and went into the kitchen. When she came back to the table, she couldn't find the half of a burger that she had left. She thought she must've left it into the kitchen, so she went back to look for it. It wasn't there! She went back to the table and when she looked over at Owen, he had the bun in his hands and had a huge, brown, hamburger "grin." He must've bit down on the burger and pulled it out of the bun and it was hanging from his mouth. She said he looked like the Hamburglar.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary

Owen celebrated his one year anniversary with Ronda this week. It's hard to believe that he's been with her a year already! We are so blessed to have found her. She loves him and cares for him like he's her very own. She plans fun activities for them, challenges them and even comes to watch "her boys" at swimming lessons.

Enjoying our CSA Boxes

Owen has really enjoyed all of the goodies we've been getting in our CSA boxes this summer. I'm so glad because he's gotten pretty finicky about eating vegetables lately. Today we got cucumbers, onions, zucchini, strawberries, pea pods, and corn on the cob. Mmmmm!

Fawn-Doe-Rosa

On Saturday, Lisa and I took the kids to Fawn-Doe-Rosa, a petting zoo near their cabin. The kids had a lot of fun, but I was scared to death of all the birds. Oh, and there was a goat incident too! Little Nick was dumping some feed into the pen for the goats to eat and one of them chomped down on the bag and ate the whole thing - which prompted lots of tears. :( Mean old goat!

Obviously this child's goal is to help rid me of my fear of birds! All that he wanted to do the whole time was chase chickens, peacocks and birds!

Owen's First Trip!

We spent Saturday through Monday at our friends' cabin in Amery. We had a great time! It was Owen's first trip away and overall, he did really well. He loves their kids, Nick and Lindsey and they dote on him like he's a rock star, so it is a match made in heaven.

On Friday, we took the day off to play with our good friends, the Withers family. We were planning to go to Lake Rebecca to play, but it was soooo hot! We changed plans and ended up at the Children's Museum. We had a great time!
