Paul has been working his behind off on the deck this summer/fall. He has missed out on a lot of fun outings and some fun/not so fun times with Owen because he's been putting in such long hours working his magic in the back yard. He's doing such a great job! There's still a ways to go, but here are some progress photos.

It's a......!
This weekend, we were lucky enough to celebrate with our friends, the Born family, as they discovered the gender of their baby. We joined them at their gender reveal party and had a lot of fun as we anxiously awaited the news!
Owen decided it was going to be a boy, so he picked a blue bandana
Dear Santa, I'd really like a drum set for Christmas...just like Sully's!
Becky and Justin pick their bandanas
They took the sealed envelope from the doctor's office to the bakery. The baker filled the cupcakes with either blue or pink filling. The big reveal...we all bit into our cupcakes...
What color is in there????
PINK! It's a girl! Sully is going to have a sister!
They were really hoping for a girl, so the Born family was ecstatic to learn the news! Well, Sully was just happy to get to eat a cupcake!
Owen enjoying a cupcake with Ronda and Terry
Then the sugar kicked in and Owen and Sully got silly!

Pumpkins, Buddies and The Boo Bash
Last night Owen and I painted the pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch while daddy worked on the deck. I'll have to post some progress photos...the problem is that is is too dark to take them in the morning and it is now fairly dark when we get home and get organized enough to get outside with a camera! Anyway, back to the pumpkin painting! He thought it was so funny that we were painting on our pumpkins! He had a blast.
Tonight was the Kowalski's Boo Bash. For those of you following us from out of town, Kowalski's is a local grocery store that always puts on a really nice event for the kids each year. They get to follow the perimeter of the store and "trick-or-treat" for animal crackers, cheese sticks, apples, Cheetos, pretzels, a few little candies, etc. Ronda invited us all to go together and then go back to her house for pizza afterwards. It was such a great time! The boys loved being together and the Shaffer girls (the kids Ronda watched before our boys) are old enough that they helped play with the boys (who idolize them!) so we could enjoy a few minutes of adult conversation. It was such an enjoyable evening!

Our two little fireman checking each other out
Sully insisted on carrying his goodies
But finally agreed to put them in his bag
This was my best attempt at capturing 7 smiling faces in one photo!
Owen smirking because he has the girls to himself, well with baby Logan of course!
Enjoying some dinner with Buzz Lightyear
And showing off because he's with the girls
Looking at Ronda's "fortune teller" in the parlor
Making each other giggle! :) Such good buddies!

Heidi's September Update
Our new daycare provider, Heidi, has a website where she posts newsletters and calendars for us, but also photos that she takes of the kids while they are doing projects and playing. Here are some photos of the fun things they did in September and early October.
Playing in the jump tent with Lily and Kendall
Washing the toy dishes from their kitchen
Riding on a "trike bike"
Each month, they work on a color. October is orange month, so they made orange
playdoh last week.
September was red month, so they had to bring something red this day.
Back row: Owen, Madison, Lily and Lily
Front row: Luke, Kendall, Drew, Lila and Kaden. Baby Sophie must've been napping!

Fun at Country Sun Farms
Today we took our second annual trip to Country Sun Farms with Ronda and Terry, the Born family and the McDonald family. The boys had SOOOO much fun playing together and of course, Ronda and Terry spoiled them! We petted animals, picked out pumpkins and went on a hay ride. It was a gorgeous day and we all had so much fun!
Hi Liam!
"Mommy - the itsy, bitsy spider!" Umm, yeah, kind of!
Hi Sheep!
Ronda was with him by the turkeys and she said he tried to kiss one...clearly he's not my child!
Having fun with Miles
Ronda showing O how to feed the goats
This little goat loved Owen and Liam!
"Mooo!"
Not sure where Sully was for all of the pictures!
Can you tell that he was happy to ride the tractor?!?!
Love this one!
Owen, Sully and Justin talking tractors
Say "Cheeseburgers!"
Riding the school bus with Sully
Looking for just the perfect one...
Another ride on the carousel
He was pretty upset that the pink tractor's steering wheel didn't move, so he was down and off to something new in just a few seconds.
Taking every opportunity to help the farmer "fix things" with his hammer! (Yes, it comes with us EVERYWHERE!)
Petting the sheep one last time
The goat and Owen both had floppy ears.
Happy fall y'all!
