Tools at School

Owen is obsessed with tools right now.  He carries his hammer everywhere!  (In fact, I'm a little nervous because Paul picked Owen up today -unplanned- and didn't know that Owen had his hammer at Heidi's house.  So, he is without it for the weekend.) At school last night, I talked him into leaving it in his backpack.  And this is the first toy he found....a GIANT measuring tape.

On Tuesday, I took him to the dentist for the first time.  It was pretty low-key.  They let him pick out some sunglasses to wear and they let him pick a fun toothbrush.  The hygenist counted his teeth and brushed them, then the dentist came in.  He said that he has four molars that will be coming in within the next few months, then another set when he's six.  The dentist also said that he can typically spot a preemie just by the enamel on their teeth (the enamel doesn't develop properly, so it is thin and weak).  He said that he would not have known that Owen was a preemie if he hadn't seen it in his chart.  He said that his teeth look fantastic.  Yeay Owen!!

Every once in awhile, I surprise Owen by telling him that he gets to take a "glow bath."  It's seriosly the best entertainment that $3 can buy!  He has so much fun!  Tonight was glow bath night!
