Ronda mentioned the other day that Owen reminds her of Ferdinand the Bull. He is a character in a book who loves to stop and smell the flowers. He doesn't fight like all of the other bulls, he'd rather just sit in a field of flowers. One day, he gets stung by a bee and it hurts so badly that he is bucking and has steam coming out of his nose. The bull fighter scouts see him and put him in the ring. All the ladies at the bull fight have beautiful flowers on their hats, so Ferdinand is in heaven!! He won't fight, he just enjoys the flowers.Here are a few photos of my own little Ferdinand exploring the new fall flowers that I planted yesterday. He has started to pick them and give them to me...warms a mommy's heart!
