Kids and Families Fun Fest

One of the police officers that does some off-duty PD work at my events at work told me about an event that he was planning today called the Kids and Families Fun Fest.  It is an event designed to raise money for families of fallen officers.  There was a 5k and 10k race, lots of jump tents, carnival games, police and fire vehicles to climb on and more.  Owen and I went this morning and we had a lot of fun.  It was a great event for a really good cause.

Checking out the fire trucks

He loved the ladders on the fire trucks

 Jumping in the jump tents

Playing games and winning LOTS of prizes!

Getting to meet and pet "Cowboy" the police horse

Here comes the Life Link helicopter - "Falling out a sky Mama!"

Getting to be a pilot on the helicopter

And his very favorite part was getting to build a tool box at the Home Depot station.  He loves tools, so he had a blast getting to use a real hammer to pound real nails!  The guys working wanted to write "Property of Woodbury Home Depot" on his apron just to get to Papa, but we wouldn't let them!

This one's for you Papa!
