The Mordorski Miracle: Potty Training and The Splash Park

This weekend we stayed pretty close to home to continue working on the potty training. I think he is starting to get it a little more now. Don't get me wrong, he's still having accidents, but we hear, "Right NOW!" a whole lot more now and I am washing a whole lot less undies each day! Ronda decided to buy Pull ups for the other boys, so they are all working on it together. There is always someone on the potty, so it is a good reminder for him to go, but once in a while, he gets too busy playing to listen to his body. He's become quite the scam artist now! He knows that she gives them Junior Mints if they go on the potty, so he'll go, collect his mint, then say he has to go again, squeeze with all his might to produce another drop, collect his mint and sometimes he'll even try for a third! Then he got smart and realized she gives out stickers on the third try!

On Friday, we went to visit his new daycare again. While trying to get out of learning time so he could go play, he told me that he had to go three times! So that leads me to believe that he CAN listen to his body, he just doesn't always do it.

We started out trying to wake him up at 10PM and 4AM to go so that he wouldn't wet the bed, but he was just too crabby during the day. We decided just to put a Pull up on over his undies. He doesn't care for that one bit! He gets mad when we put it on. Last night was the very first time (ever ?) that he stayed dry all night. He woke up around 5 this morning and his undies and his Pull up were dry!

On Saturday, we decided to get out of the house for a bit. We met Liam's family at the splash park by our house. The water is cold, so it took a bit, but those two had a blast together. Ronda was out running errands, so she even stopped by to get in on the fun!
