Picnic at the Beach

Friday morning, Owen and I went to meet his new daycare friends.  Heidi, our new daycare provider, invited us to visit as much as we wanted before he transitions there in September.  We got there around 9 and Owen had a good time.  I think it will be really good for him, although it is a lot more structured than he is used to.  They started circle time shortly after we arrived.  They put the date on the calendar and since it was the 20th, they counted from 1-20 in English, Spanish and German.  Then they talked about the weather and put a sun on the weather chart.  Heidi read two stories, we sang some songs, then we did a dinosaur art project and played outside.  He didn't want to leave, which was good!  The other kids seemed very nice too.  There are a few little girls and it was fun to see him interact with them.  He's so used to it being all boys!

On Friday afternoon, we packed a picnic and when we got Owen from Ronda's, we went to the beach.  He's never been to the beach and he thought it was pretty great!

 We even got to play at the park at the beach!
