Transitions are Hard!

Owen is having a rough time transitioning to Heidi's house.  The first day went well, but the second day he cried much of the day and had lots of accidents.  The following day was just as bad, although he did talk about fun things that he did at Heidi's that night, so we had hope!  Friday, he cried a lot at drop off, but she said he talked to her a lot more and enjoyed the activities.  It was during times of transition that he fussed a little bit.  She was wishing that the weekend wouldn't fall right then and hinder his progress. She warned us that Monday would probably be rough again.

I thought he would have a great weekend and be excited to be home with us.  He didn't.  He was really crabby, cried a lot, wouldn't tell us if he had to go potty and has started crying and screaming, "NO POTTY!" when we tried to get him to go.  He hasn't ever minded going when we ask him, so this was new to us.  He woke up crying a lot in the nigh numerous times....pretty much the only thing he did well this weekend was eat.  :(

He woke up this morning crabby (probably because he was up crying from 11:30-12:30) and immediately started saying, "No Heidi's house."  Ugh, enough to break my heart!  I wish we could do more to help him get through this.  It's horrible seeing your child unhappy!  We sent Mister Bear with him today - and lots of changes of undies and shorts.
